mvp mpg problems

Hi!

I got my MVP But I haven't gotten it to work

It seems I can see avi files, but not mpg files. The MVP is bought in the States, and I'm using it here in Sweden. Could I have an NTSC/PAL problem?

In my test, I could watch the avi aladdin fine at 2008-01-12 13:11:03.031, but none of my mpg tries works. See for example "FÃ¥ret Shaun" at 2008-01-12 13:09:04.109 (which is a recording) or the "live tv" "Midwives" at 2008-01-12 13:12:20.078

It seems that you have to switch between pal/ntsc, according to this:

Would I get my described behavior when I use the wrong setting?

Yes, you need to use the Hauppauge software to change the flash setting to PAL. The Hauppauge dongle immediately issues a STOP on a mismatch in the format.

If you run the mvpmc dongle it will play your mpg but it will ouput the NTSC signal until you change the flash or add the -m pal command line option

Just to confirm, it worked when I changed the flash. Wonderful. I got the MVP for like 30% of the price I'd have to pay here Next step now I got the device to work: network wiring into the bedroom
