I'm having what seems to be the same problem as this guy:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=31106

But I don't have an MCE remote, I'm using the Cyberlink that came with my ATi 550 Theater card.

Currently using the ATi MPEG decoder but I don't think that's the problem, as this other person was using (and tried different) decoders too.

Anyway it's rather annoying, is there more info on this or have we found a possible bug?

edit: forgot to add, no problem when using the keyboard - seems to be a remote-only problem

I was never able to reproduce that guys problem. I'm assuming its something to do with the combination of decoder being used or something similar.

Remote-only... could be the drivers/HIP combination. Make sure you have the latest drivers for the remote system. Are you using HIP?

It's strange though, because he tried several decoders and I'm using a completely different one to him - and it works fine with the keyboard

The remote doesn't need drivers, and AFAIK never came with any. Windows just picks it up the IR Receiver as a USB keyboard (and strangely, mouse too)

if by HIP you mean this: http://www.byremote.com.au/HIP/Default.htm then no.
