Upgraded to 1.4.7. Now GBPVR and my TV Card wont play nice anymore!
I can watch all previously-recorded episodes just fine.

I initially had identical problems with the upgrade so I uninstalled it, cleaned out the folder of all files (I have backups), and installed a fresh copy.

Symptoms:
 1. LiveTV: Black Screen / no audio / PVRX Freezes and I need to Ctrl+Alt+Del it away.
 2. Recordings: (around or Less than 100 KB) videos for anything (including livetv) that records. Additionally, once finished, I get no file in any show's directory.
 3. The Recording File: After killing PVRX after a Freeze, the Recording Service doesn't want to give up the file it was working on; even after stopping it and the tray shows white (but it says it's still recording). Eventually, it will let go (either through my killing of it's processes, restarting it's processes, or time elapsing) and the tray will return to "sleeping" mode. The Config app cant save it's settings and freezes also, unless that file is released. Just complete weirdness really.

TV Card: Analog - Hauppauge PVR 150MCE
Live Preview: Tried ON + Encoder Pass-Through & tried it OFF with no difference.
Codecs: Found and download the mpeg decoder (Mpeg-blabla.ax) and installed it. No difference. Other then that, I only have ffdshow on my system (worked perfectly with 1.3x).

My last version I used was gbpvr 1.3.11 and that worked great. So much for improvements, I might have to move back. What a pain.

Edit: Added (failed) Recording of Dr Who. FYI, My logs are with Live Preview Disabled. I'll enable it tonight and should have something by tomorrow.
Edit 2: I also find it odd I have no video-transcoding options whenever I add a recording.
Edit 3: Added my config file & logs_afterRecLateLateShow.zip that has "Live Preview w/ Encoder pass-through" ON. Apparently it also tried to record 2 Family Guy episodes.

SOLVED: The timing was quite the coincidence but the problem was my drivers, even though the device manager thought everything was fine. I downloaded WinTV and installed the drivers that came with it and everything was good; detailed in my last post.

Added my config file & logs_afterRecLateLateShow.zip that has "Live Preview w/ Encoder pass-through" ON. Apparently it also tried to record 2 Family Guy episodes.

GBPVR seems to think these recordings succeeded and I can attempt to play them. When I do (in gbpvr) I get a momentary black screen and get almost immediately returned to the "recording" screen. When I check these files in explorer, I see files typically less-than 100 KBs. (I forgot to change the "recordings dir" so I didn't see them b4.)

When I initially installed it over the pre-existing 1.3.11 (attempt 1), yes it did rollback. I think the Recording Service was still running or such so I killed everything with gbpvr and successfully installed over 1.3.11 (attempt 2). However, I received these same problems so I completely uninstalled GBPVR (no probs), deleted everything left in the directory, and installed it again (attempt 3) and the installer did not rollback but acted perfectly fine.

If my first post in this thread does not describe the problem, please explain what else is needed and I will be more then happy to elaborate on those points. ALL logs are also in that post as well.

Your subsequent posts made it look to me like you had reinstalled or changed things. Are those logs/description still valid for your current problem, or have things changed. If you haven't changed things, it would have been enough to say that.

My greatest apologies, nothing has changed. Lately I've just been using it to watch my old recordings and anime.

Some things I might not have mentioned before...
 • Looking at the device manager, my TV Card appears fine.
 • I have not added/removed any hardware to the computer in a very long time.
 • I have ~20 of 30GBs freespace where the recordings are being saved to. The original location has ~90 of 700GBs free space.
 • Igorne this one. I just checked and this isn't true --> In PVRX, within the list of Reoccurring (not Pending) Recordings, I only get Show Titles. No other details are displayed. I have not yet changed existing titles but have only tried to add new shows (for testing; see 1st post on that).

It seems to me that the logs show nothing out of the ordinary but I don't know what to look for (ha, other then 'error').

I've very eager to resolve this issue. If there's any tests I can preform, I'll be happy to preform them and post the results here.

The symptoms sound like the capture device isnt delivering data, or very little data before stopping.

Does the card work in Hauppauge WinTV software?

Not installed; OEM. I'll see if I can download it somewhere.

EDIT: Wow, I easily found it. It'll take 30 mins to download it on my slow internet. I'll run it and post what happens.
