The logs confirm my suspicions. The PVRX2 MVP Server is only receiving one of the two connections it needs. It is not getting the connection that is needed to stream media. This is the exact same behaviour that other users resolved with changes to their firewall settings.

Quote:I am using AVG anti-virus with firewall. I have checked and PVRX2.exe is allowed.
Sorry, I know nothing about this AVG software so I cant tell you exactly what settings you need.

You should also check the built in Windows firewall. Many users thought they werent running it, and werent aware that a Windows Update had reenabled it.

If AVG anti-virus is the sort of software that normally popups up questions to ask if an application has permissions to do specific things, then you're probably not seeing these popups since the MVP server runs in a different desktop session (as part of a background service).

You could try manually running pvrx2.exe with the "-mvpmode" command line parameter. This runs a server instance in your session, and hopefully the AVG software will then show you these permission prompts.

Wow, you nailed it. It was the Windows firewall, which I had shut off when I installed the AVG software (which has been a good clean firewall to work with)... but somehow some of the updates had both turned it on... and then buried it so that you have to dig down to find how to shut the bugger off!

I'm wondering if such information doesn't need to be posted as a "sticky" somewhere... without your help I would have been at an absolute loss... I have checked the firewall (AVG) about 4 times, but never thought about the Windows firewall since I had shut it off!
