Back again...
Although every function works as it should with EVR, I've found that while watching HDTV recordings on my plasma I'm getting a considerable amount of tearing. After much experimentation with all decoders and renderers, I've found that I need my config set for VMR9 FSE to get smooth HDTV playback. Unfortunately, doing this now causes the iso images to not play again in PVRX2. PVRX2 seems to load the image, but the screen flashes sporatically from black to glimpses of the menu, with no chance of ever selecting or starting a title. Since the majority of what I'll watch is recorded HDTV, I'll be keeping the setting at VMR9 FSE. However, as I've mentioned previously, I'd like to be able to do everything through PVRX2 just to keep it simple for the family.
Thanks for any help,

Bump.

This problem also exists with version 1.2.9.

Thanks for any insight.

I see you're trying to use the Cyberlink decoders for DVD playback. Are you sure the version of these you're using is compatible with VMR9? Lots of Cyberlink decoders arent compatible with VRM9 (some can get around this with the addition of certain registry settings, but these arent there by default).

I can't even get the ISO file to play. I use Daemon Tools, autoplay is disabled for all CD/DVD drives, and I get the following dialog box twice (even though I hit Enter on the ISO file only once). If I click Yes or No, the dialogs are dismissed, my TV stays blank, and my virtual drive letter is mounted with the DVD ISO. I hit Back button on remote and it goes back to PVRX2 menu -- I'm using version 1.2.9.

I turned off the Secure Mode option and the dialog went away. It now works! However, when I exit the DVD playback, the ISO stays mounted.

Great.

Yep, thats normal. It doesnt attempt to unmount the DVD when playback finishes.
