You probably need go into the control panel and set the GB-PVR Recording service to 'allow service to interact with desktop'. HipSend.exe uses the clipboard to send data to HIP.exe, but this requires them to be in the same desktop session.

#66, there is a HIP config file on the wiki for using the happauge 45 button in GBPVR. It is on this page:

Here is a direct link to the HIP config file:

Use EventGhost, it's so much easier to configure than HIP.
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tips/EventGhost
NPVR 4.1.0.180302 o Kodi 17.6 o EventGhost 0.5.0.rc4 o SAF 6.3.2 o SchedulesDirect

Jep, tried the one on the wiki, but i seemed to give me errors. Thanks anyway. I got some of it working, just have to spend some time.

Read the same about Event ghost, only for receiving I beleive, I need the blaster/send ir bit aswell.

EventGhost was completely unintuitive to me. I didn't even see a mention of exactly what the difference is between using a macro and whatever the other options are. HIP isn't the best, but it easily lets me program x key to do y function. I don't recall even seeing on the wiki how to do a simple "make this key do that function" for EventGhost. ...or in HIP, for that matter, but HIP has a big "add key function" button.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

I know its not free but our application Intelliremote in my opinion is 100X easier to use and configure for your remote than HIP or EventGhost. There is a trial version if you want to see for yourself.
