When I'm trying to watch a DivX AVI (under Video Library), two things happen: First, GBPVR wonders whether it should resume or start over from the beginning. But the problem is that it loses focus. I have to 'alt-tab' back into GB-PVR so I can select it.

Under the new EVR, it doesn't even show me the resume/start-over option, it just looks like it freezes. I had to switch to VMR9, and still losing focus whenever I play an AVI.
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

Loss of focus is common with AVI files, and is caused by the divx decoder's tray icon stealing the focus. Two options, either uninstall the divx decoder and switch to an alternative decoder (like the xvid one), or look for the utility on the divx website for killing the tray icon.

Hey Sub, long time no speak. I have a sort of related question but not really. Does GBPVR support the built in menus in a DIVX file? If so what do I need to do to enable this? If not is it something your likely to add?

Thanks for your time.

Jeeze that was fast.

That's too bad I was just giving it a try. It would make grouping the kids videos easier. Not for me but for them. Even the 2yo daughter has figure out the DVD navigation thing. I suppose I'll have to show her how the GBPVR navigation works.

I would put my vote in for Divx Menu support if your ever running short of things on the to-do list. Smile
