You definitely need the vcredis_86.

Nope the vcredis_86 is correctly installed BUT it didn't solve my problem...
So let's summarize:
I had gbpvr running fine on a Win Xp Pro Sp2 machine.
Last week I upgraded the machine via windows update to Sp3.
Gbpvr still ran fine.
Yesterday I formatted that very same machine and installed Win Xp Pro Sp3 (Of course with an install cd where Sp3 is slipstreamed into it)
After the successful install I :
- installed the .net framework2.0 (redistributable installation file)
- installed DIVX codec
- installed AC3-filter
- Configured Autologon
- Disabled the index-service
The machine is fast-as-hell but when I try to install gbpvr 1.2.9 I get the 1904 error message.
I tried solving it by
1. installing it as Administrator... but I got the same error
==> uninstalled the faulty install
2. installing it as a Power User... still the same error
==> uninstalled the faulty install and updated windows via windows update
==> installed vredist_86
3. tried to install gbpvr again as a Power User but still I got the same errors.
4. After the last faulty instal I tried manually registering the files.
But with each file the regserver returns an error that sais:
"Loading of the library <filename> into the memory failed.
The selected program could not be started because
it's configuration is wrong. Reinstalling the program might fix
the problem" (this is roughly translated from Dutch to English...
info:
During all these install's I pressed the "ignore" button.
so every time I ended up with en faulty install.
Result: when I tried to run gbpvr, the program immediately crashed.
Thx!
