Now i have 2 problems. I understand that with time shifting - if i paues live tv it starts recording so unpause will continue. Unfortunately Pause (or ctrl-Q) blacks the screen for 30 seconds and exits to the front page of the skin (menu).

Secondly, if a manual recording is started and then stopped - the program tells me there is no tuner available (even if i want to watch the same channel) and it is only available on reboot.

I have win xp sp3 and HVR 4000 card and PVR 150 MCE both configured and working.

Thanks again for your very valuable time. It is much appreciated

Reproduce both problems and post separate sets of logs for each and I'll take a look.

well well - pause and resume problem seems to have gone away - maybe the last reboot did it.

Here is log from recent session. was recording the news - live tv brought up messsage "no tuner available". This despite the fact that i have a second tuner which is working. I could not even look at the channel which was recording/ I could only start playback of the recording. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

when you say you had a second what recording devices do you have ?
sorry maybe you havent setup your recording sources correctly have you used the same tv guide data for both devices?

you are better to upload your whole logs folder as there may be stuff that is help full in the rest of the logs

Thanks for your time.

Here is complete log.

I have hvr 4000 (DVB-T) and 150MCE (analog) cards both working. Analog channels are of course identified by different channel numbers from Digital.
I have set up a program guide of sorts it identifies (for instance) TV1 but does not distinguish digital from analog. I have not recorded from the guide (i programmed it manually). Maybe this is my problem. Your thoughts appreciated.

When you hit the 'live tv' button it attempts to go back to the last channel you were on. If that last channel was only available on the tuner that is currently recording, then you'll get a message that no tuner is available to watch that channel. You can however go to the tv guide screen and press the play button on another channel that is available on other free tuners in your system.

Why if it is recording can i not at least view the channel that i am recording also live? Is it to do with time shift mode?
