no, for a couple of reasons:
1. the 2.5" drive wont be centered in the "bay" but all the way towards the back of the PCH so the IDE connector will line up. so the bracket wont work.
2. I think I have the same adapter, and while I can plug the hard drive in using it, it is impossible to plug in that poser cable because the plug is on the back side of the card, and that puts it right on top of the ports in the back. it MIGHT work with some modification of the cable of plug... but I wouldn't suggest doing that.

any moderator:
please move this to the NMT forum!

So I gather the the adapter itself will work but not the mounting plate. So I can just purchase the adapter and find another way of mounting the drive.

Thanks for your reply,

I'll look around for another solution.

i have a similar setup, only mine has power near the large ide adapter so it fit perfectly...that one is close but not quite..Smile
like: [1................40 +-]

and none of them is going to line up with mount holes...
to mount, i just drilled another hole in bottom, it's just about a quarter inch away from the original holes [measure yours]..and for laptop drives, one or two screws are sufficient...they only weigh a tiny bit......

laptop drives really are the answer as they are usually totally silent and now can be had in larger sizes like 320g for decent prices..[130$] Big Grin
and they usually run cooler and allow more airflow inside case for cpu..Smile

found one here:http://www.cablestogo.com/product.asp?ca...&sku=17705
