Non-printable characters in gbpvr.db3 programme description

Sub do you think gbpvr's xmltv import function should trim leading and trailing whitespace like CR LF TAB before storing the description field in the PROGRAMME table or is this clearly zap2xml's responsibility when generating xmltv.xml?

That should be the responsibility of the program used to generate the file.

In a perfect world I agree but is it really that clear cut? Given all the possible sources of xmltv files and that the contents end up in gbpvr's database. I may have to trim this field in CDK Scheduler which is ever farther downsteam.
