I have had one machine set up as a client to the server with two ATSC cards for over a year and it has worked great for HD. Now I put a ATSC tuner in the client machine for live HD video, but when I do I can't access the HD recordings on the server.
I'm not interested in recording on the client. I just want a local tuner, and access to the recordings on the server.

Any clues?
Main Machine AMD 3200+, MSI Neo 4 Nvidia , 2GB DDR400, 250GB 7200 RPM Maxtor, Sapphire Radeon X1300 PCI Express, WinTV PVR 150, Avermedia A180 x2, 50 Plasma. 2nd Machine 2.8 Ghz Inte, 512MB, ATI 9650, 250GB 7200 RPM Maxtor, 22" LCD, WinTv HVR 1600. Third Machine 2.6 Ghz Intel Storage server 3 250GB 7200 RPM Maxtors.

In client mode there is no way to access a local tuner.

About the closest you can get to this, is by setting up a normal GB-PVR install on the client machine (but not configured as a client), then have the server's recording directory accessible from the Video Library of the client. ie, you wont be able to schedule recordings on the server etc.

I thought of that but then you wont be able to see the program description.
So there is no way to point them to the same database?
