Recently... completely without reason... some avi files that played fine, no longer have audio!

They still play fine through windowsmediaplayer.

If I load the graph from gbpvr and render it (play it) with GraphEdit, it also plays fine.

I cannot understand it!

Curious as to what this means:

When you renderer it in GraphEdit, what filters does it use?

The same as GBPVR

AVI -> Divx Decoder -> Video Renderer
AVI -> Nvidia Audio Decoer -> Default DirectSound Renderer

To be honest, I'm not really sure then. I've never seen the nvidia audio decoder used in other people's logs for AVI playback, so I was fairly sure you were going to say some other audio decoder in GraphEdit. I'd try a different audio decoder given this one doesnt seem to be commonly used for this purpose.
