Sub, is it possible to show folder.xml (just like folder.jpg) in VIDEO LIBRARY?

If both folder.xml & folder.jpg are present show both.

I have no idea what a folder.xml would have in it, and GB-PVR doesnt look for one.

Right now if there is a file called folder.jpg GBPVR will show this file as cover art.

So, If I want some blurb about a movie to be shown, I will include those blurbs in a folder.xml file.

As an example the folder.xml can have a format something like this....

<movieinfo>
<date>1989</date>
<directory>Alfred Hithcock</director>
</movieinfo>

GBPVR will parse this info and show it along with folder.jpg.

If you want I can suggest the necessary tags...

As a further enhancement, one can parse ALL the folders in a the "Movie Directory" and create search functionality as well.

Sorry, but all I can give you is "maybe in a future release".

vskatusa, might you not be better served by MoviesWiz, which already has most of this information, just not in the XML format that you desire??

You could also build your own .xml metadata file for each movie
notepad filename:metadata.xml and then import with vidImport and it will show under Recordings

psycik,

I tried movieWiz for a month and I am not sure if this is ready for prime time!

Please see my post here

carpeVideo,

What is vidImport? Where can I read about it? I am looking for parsing xml in "video libraries" not "recordings"
