I had GBPVR working and it had the capability to search for programs using a word or title. With PVRX2 doesn't. Can that capability be added?

"Search Guide" is still there in PVRX2. Maybe check the plugins list in config to check it's enabled.

Has it been unticked on the Plugins tab in Config?

It is checked on the plug in tab and I do get search but only the alphabetical listing

You can type some free text and press enter.

On my GBPVR there was a space to type free text but I don't see that on my PVRX2. Only a column of alphabet on the left side.

There is still a space for typing free text, but its not visible until your start typing.
