New Hauppauge Drivers (v4.6A)

Hi group,

Hauppauge has released a new version of the WinTV CD (ver4.6A) which seems to include a driver upgrade. Has anyone tried it? Any improvement with the HVR-1600?

I have the above version working with my 1600 and it's working fine....I noticed no difference but I didn't have any problems with the older version. Still no luck with QAM for me but I feel it's not a problem with the software but likely signal strength.

WinTV7 wasn't in my download in the link that whurlston posted. My tuners aren't supported by it yet and they are so slow at Hauppauge, it might be months before they are.

I think WinTV 7 looks great - about time they supported HD material. Good to see you can use any H264 decoder, so DXVA should work fine if already working. Shame only one of my three tuners is supported!
I'm confused about the new driver version though - 4.6b has been around for ages, so how can the new version be 4.6a?
