Having got GBPVR running nicely with my 2 cable budget cable cards I have added a FireDTV-S however when tuning a channel everything works fine for about 20 seconds the pvrx2 application crashes. Tuning to cable channels is fine.

Here are my logs

Thanks

There no sign of any problem in the logs. I'm guessing its caused by your multidec plugin or mdapifilter.ax.

What does the crash message say?

The Error is a windows error

PVRX2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The weird thing is if I watch the same channel on a remote pc running GBPVR it all runs fine.

Also after the crash the recording service keeps going.

Thanks

I have a FireDTV connected via Firewire to a Windows Vista 64bit machine and it is working fine. However, I am not using a CAM or anything like that at the moment

You seem to be using a DVB-S source. Some cards do not work properly with XP SP3 system files (psisdecd.dll, mpeg2data.ax, psisrndr.ax), resulting in PVRX2 crashing. Hauppauge users seem to be affected, I am not sure about FireDTV.
But the fix might be worth a try, it can be found following the link in this post: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...stcount=15
If you follow the procedure listed, you will keep your system files and just register other versions of those files, so you can always revert.

Good luck
