Hi,
I have 2 totally different gb pvr installs on 2 different PC's

I went to watch BBC HD on one of them tonight and after about 2 mins gb pvr crashed
I then restored a backup image of the PC incase something got knackered some how , was no different

I then went to my other PC and tried BBC HD again and it to also crashed after about 1-2 mins

Is anyone else having issues with this ?

I worked fina on both machines for a long time , but both appear to be knackered ?

Anyone got any ideas ?

Last time I had problems with HD channels crashing, it was solved by installing DVBfix;
http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/genera...s-xp-6344/
Mind you, mine would crash after only a few seconds so might not be related - can't do any harm to try though.
You did not mention what OS you have - this patch is for XP, though I did read that they now have a fix for windows 7 on the mediaportal site - no idea why that's needed though!
Several of us who solved problems by installing DVBfix have had to apply it again at some stage - maybe because an update breaks it again...

Hmmm , the plot thickens !
1. I have not ANY updates on either of my systems for a couple on months ,
I did use the original dvbfix patch when I first set the systems up , I will try
re-applying it later on.

2. I cant watch ANY channels that are on my Nova-S2-HD cards on either of my
PC's ?????? , after a min or so gb pvr crashes on both machines

This is a really weird problem , when I get home from work today I will try
dvbviewer and see how that reacts to my card to ensure my dish or something unrelated to gb pvr is messing this up for me.

Now you have said that, I remember that I did also get crashes on all DVB-S channels before applying DVBfix - but it happened more quickly on HD, WIll be very interested to hear if it does solve your problem, as others have said they need to reapply it sometimes but not sure why.
YOu haven't added any tuners have you? I only needed DVBfiix when I added my NoveHD-S2, I never had any issues before then.

I had a similar issue yesterday - no idea why since everything else was the same - but dvbfix fixed it for me.

When I built my new PC this week BBC HD did not work with the SCAN file that I copied from my old machine. I rescanned and set the current AC3 frequency and all is working ok.

Perhaps the BBC have changed the frequency settings ???
