Yes, it was already set this way. But I can say that I have not been able to get EWA to work and was told to check this setting for that as well. I gave up on it. It hasn't worked for me in the last 3 or 4 updates even after totally starting from scratch.

I didn't think it was this error, but I saw it in coolchris's logs a couple of days ago and I think it is something sub needs to look into.

Maybe check if there is a error message listed in the Windows Event Viewer telling us which dependency is missing?

Got a large number of errors but none at that time shown in the logs:

The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{AB8902B4-09CA-4BB6-B78D-A8F59079A8D5}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

Only thing I could find at that time but with no error is this.

I'm not really sure. To test it out, you could try stopping the recording service, then running the recording service from the command line "GBPVRRecordingService.exe RUN"

That didn't work either. Guess it's not meant to be. I know months back when I was trying to get EWA to work, I tried everything so I guess this is one of those freaky things that won't work for me like QAM and the HVR2250. Sad
Thanks for the help.

If getting the web server running is going to be a challenge, I do have a fallback so you can try your new toy and maybe watch some HD live tv using this

1. Download simese 2.0.7 from http://www.matdev.com/category.html?iden...TRODUCTION
2. Read the readme on the site for the install process
3. Change simese.ini to Root=
4. In startmeup add --swiss_center 8000 to your command line (using the port you have in simese.ini)

Try running this standalone server instead.

You guys are full of ideas. I'll give both a try but 'herself' is now enjoying the fruits of my new toy after she watched me fool around "way too long" so, I'll try this tomorrow.
And for the record, she's not as bad as I make her sound......I just feel empowered talking bad. Big Grin
