It might be the decoder you're using that is causing the crash when you try to play the in-progress live tv recording. Try other decoders.

If the app crashes (ungraceful shutdown), it can take the recording service up to 30 seconds to realise and free up the tuner, so it will let you back into live tv but you'd have to wait for a little while first.

Using MVP - this all worked well, before Vista!!
I did try turning everything to default, like in an earlier post, it
does stop the crash - but it no work either.
I've tried ts and it kinda sometimes works.
Does seem though if I leave it sit, yes 30 secs it does all catch up.
Drive is running very hard.

Try this installing this patch: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...stcount=24, then try the TS Mux option again.
