In the TV guide there are always randomly placed missing entries. i.e. "no data" is displayed. The worst case is film4 and film4 +1, where I can see program details for the next few hours but no further.

When I turn the pc on the next day and navigate the guide to film4, there are the listings for the next few hours but no further.

Film4 is the worst, but other channels do it also.

So clearly the data exists, I have double checked by opening the xmltv file and manually scrolling through and can confirm the info is there.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to begin to attempt to resolve this.

Many thanks.

Chris.

Where is your data coming from. Off air, Birtles/Radio Times, Birtles/Digiguide?
It might be an idea to zip up your xmltv data file and gbpvr log files after doing an EPG update from the tray icon.

The guide data comes from radio times, using birtles xmltvgui. Happy to zip up the files and post them here ..... exactly what files do you want ? The downloaded xmltv data file, the installed xmltv data file and what log files ?

Thanks.

I'd suggest zipping the downloaded xmltv.dat and pvrx2exe.log file after updating the epg from the tray app. Probably best to also run the app and select the TV guide and make a note of one of the missing channel/data date/times and mention that in the post to give a pointer to where it fails on yours.
Come to think of it, it might be best to zip up all the log files to be safe.

Just for fun, you might try unchecking "complete EPG reload" in config. I was having repeated problems of my EPG not populating at all (except for one or two channels for an hour or so), even though the data had downloaded properly. I don't know why, but this fixed it.

I have got "complete EPG reload" unchecked. I have tried it checked also with no difference. Log files and data.xml file are attached. Channels giving the best example are film4 and film 4+1. Only ever see the next few hours worth of listings.

have you tried downloading the problem channels separately(plus then you can post the file here)
or just doing a manual epg update

Are you only loading one days worth of EPG? It looks like it in the pvrx2.exxe-2.log. The "next showing" looks like it is earlier than the current time.....
I'm wondering if this might be confusing things as film4 and +1 are "part time" channels.
Could you try loading a weeks epg to see if it improves? (I've not seen a problem with film4 and I also use Birtles/Radio Times.)
