G'day Smile

(Alternative search terms to help Google: GBPVR won't schedule a season recording; GBPVR cannot schedule a season recording; how to fix season recording problem GBPVR GB-PVR)

I have about 8 DVB-T channels.

I can do season recordings on all but one channel (Cannot do season recordings on NBN Digital)

The events appear in recurring, but not pending; and in the TV guide view the item does not turn red.

No real idea why - best guess is that it could be because NBN uses [, @ and ] in program descriptions?

Any ideas? Have done a complete uninstall, erase, reinstall.

Edit: Logs attached, plus screenshots demonstrating problem at http://auzzie.net/files/Scheduling%20Pro...%20NBN.doc

In the logs it looks ok. It looks like you've scheduled a season recording of 'The Late Show With David Letterman', and its created the recurring recording, and scheduled the one show that matched. Do you see other airings that on that channel that you think should match? If so, post a copy of your gbpvr.db3 and I'll take a look.

Hi Smile The Late Show is on channel "SC10 Tamworth" and records fine Smile It is particularly good because it's aired at a different time each day and GB-PVR picks this up.

It is "Australia's Funniest Home Videos" on "NBN Digital" (or any other shows on the same channel) that won't do season recordings. This show should be in the logs too? It's in the screenshots. (Page 4 shows it in Recurring, but page 5 shows it missing from Pending.)

PS - I Also recommended GB-PVR on APC's website Smile http://apcmag.com/tivo-giving-australia-...ricing.htm

Edit: Attached gbpvr.db3 just in case it helps you. Note that since the logs were created yesterday I have added many more shows to the schedule.

Good News I think Smile Looks like it's behaving properly now. Out of curiosity, can you let me know what this patch did to fix it?

Cheers, Mike.

Edit: Yes, it successfully recorded a season schedule on NBN so it does appear to be fixed with this patch.

I have since found some of my very old MP3 files can cause PVRX2 to crash with a "memory could not be read" error, but will post about that later as it's not a big deal. They are OK in Foobar so it's probably a VBR issue.

The app seemed to be doing the correct thing, but for whatever reason the SQLite components would not matching data, so I recoded it to a slightly different way.

This has popped up a couple of times in the past, with the MP3 decoder shipped with Windows not liking the oddball encoding format used by some old MP3 encoder software. You options are either reencode the file, or try to find an alternative MP3 decoder.
