I can see the device is failing to hookup. Unfortunately its not clear to me why.

Sorry, but I'm not really familiar with this device. I pretty much only test the app with Hauppauge cards.

No probs. Think i'll do a reinstall of windows and then try again. i'll let you know if i get any success with the card.

Success! (kind of - D'oh!). Reinstalled windows from scratch and can now scan channels using the "TechniSat SkyStar HD2 type2" from the bda.ini that Sub posted earlier in the thread. Trying to scan channels using "TechniSat SkyStar HD2" still comes up with the error as before.

Even though i can now start scanning it get as far as scanning around 28 out of 91 and the config application appears to freeze. I've attached log files for reference if anyone can help.

Did you apply the patches from the '1.3.11 survival guide' thread?

Thanks for the info. I've now updated PsiParser.ax, GBPVRTSReader.ax and GBPVRTSMon.ax and then did a rescan of the channels - worked a treat. Many thanks for your help.
