I'm having problems with my GB-PVR install. Everything works great with my WinPVR software, image quality is great and all the expected channels are in place.
However in GB-PVR my channel quality is ppor at best, channels are missing. I can't seem to fix the problem.
I was hoping that someone might know a way to fix this problem.

Are you talking about a digital source or analog source?

At the end of the day, GB-PVR doesnt do any of the display itself. The quality of the picture will pretty much come down to the video renderer and video decoder you're using. If you're using the same video decoder and video renderer as WinPVR (do you mean WinTV?), and the device is using the same bitrate for the encoding, then you should get an identical picture out of GB-PVR.

Yes I did mean WinTV. Everything seems to be set the same. The difference is really quite staggering. Crisp and clean in one and barely watchable at the best of times in the other.

Was it WinTV version 7 (or older version 6)?

Ah, sorry I dont know what video renderer, video decoders that old version uses. If you were using WinTV v7, and were happy with the results, I was going to suggest the Mainconcept video decoder and EVR renderer (since thats what it uses by default).

Just try other decoder/renderer options and I'm sure you'll find a good combination.
