I have one of these devices installed in my machine. It's a dual tuner hybrid. I currently have both DVB tuners setup. I also have one of the analogue tuners connected to the s-video connection. There's only one physical s-video port, so I have the second analogue tuner configured, but with no channels setup.

What I'd like to know is, how can I configure my card, or GBPVR, so that it knows that one of the dvb-t tuners and the analogue tuner are the same physical hardware? It does technically work at the moment, but as it's configured, it doesn't detect recording conflicts where one of the programmes is to be picked up from the analogue side of things.

I'm pretty sure this device lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder on the analog side, so the svideo port wont work in GB-PVR.

Hi.

The E900F does have a hardware MPEG2 encoder. I have the svideo port working. It works very well, in fact. The problem I have is that GBPVR treats them as if they are three physically separate tuners.

If I select two simultaneous recordings from DVB-T channels and then go to select a third, I get the conflict message. If I select two simultaneous DVB-T recordings, and then try to record a third programme from the analogue tuner, it accepts it.

Add the following line to the bda.ini and direct.ini files in the Compro E900F sections:

SHARED_NAME=Compro E900F

After this is should realise they're the same device and cant be used at the same time.

Thanks. That works now.

There is one limitation. When it brings up the conflict, it only shows the conflict on the one tuner. If I want to keep both conflicting recordings and cancel the recording on the other tuner, I need to do that manually. As far as I can tell though, it only has one s-video port. I'm no progammer, but considering the number of different video cards available, I imagine it would be a near impossible task to identify the number of s-video ports a card may or may not have.

At least now it identifies the conflict, and that's the main thing.

Thanks again.
