I'm trying to reinstall GbPVR (repair) to correct another problem I am having with the PCH connected to my server. However, when I run the install in repair mode it gets almost to the end, and then rolls back. The installation is on my server which is running Windows Server 2003.

I searched the forums and found out how to get an installation log file from the installer, but cannot figure out what is wrong. I have attached the log file in the hope that someone who understands msi logs could point me in the right direction.

When I have this problem I simply uninstall then reinstall using the Control Panel. I'm not suggesting this is the best fix but since I could never get past this error, it's what has worked for me.

I'm not saying this is it, but a common fix for install rollbacks is

sc delete "GB-PVR Recording Service" in a dos box

Thanks for the tip. I did make sure that the Recording Service was stopped, but I never tried to delete it in this manner. I decided to take Pcostanza's advice and created an image of my server (in case I need to go back) and completely removed GbPvr. I deleted what was left in the directory and then reinstalled with no problems. Now to see if my original problems are fixed.
