Fantastic program!!! I've been using it (1.4.7) for months with no glitches ... two FTA TV Tuners (Twinhan & DVICo).

BUT (there's always a 'but'), I rebooted the PC this morning, and GBPVR won't load! It runs the Tray app OK, but won't recognise the tuners (but ChrisTV does) and won't let me into the CONFIG of PVRX2 programmes, without throwing this error:

===== =====
The 'PVRX2Friendlyname' start tag on line 101 does not match the end tag of 'PVRX2enderer' Line 101, position 5
===== =====

The <Details> says:

GBPVR is such a friendly program, I'd hate to think that I've upset its friendlyname unintentionally!

I tried to <repair> it, but no good (it just kept rolling back ...)
I uninstalled it (ControlPanel)l and re-installed it, but no good (same behaviour as above)

Sorry, but I just don't understan what I've done to upset it! Advice gratefully received Smile

Logs attached

Thanks in advance ... Adam

It looks like your config.xml is corrupted. Can you zip and post it and someone can take a look. Also, have you edited that file and if so, what program did you use to edit it? Word/Wordpad will corrupt it.

No ... I didn't edit it manually. But the .rar is attached anyway ...

It looks like half of it is missing. Copy (don't just rename) "config-master.dont-edit-me.xml" to "config.xml". This will give you the a pristine copy. You will need to run Config to set your decoders, directories, etc. It will not affect your tuner setup and channels as they are stored in the gbpvr.db3 database and not in config.xml

or just delete or move config.xml out of the gbpvr folder and a new one is populated when you run config

Thanks!

<delete> key was successfully pressed, and config.xml disappeared.
CONFIG was successfully run (and a new config.xml created - as foretold)
GBPVR is now completely functional again - returned to its friendly self (and I assume that it has friendlyname's for all Smile)
