Pre and Post Paddings Should Be Respected

I griped about something along these lines awhile back with GB-PVR. I wanted the auto padding specified in Config/Settings (if any) to be "soft" padding that could be ignored in favor of recording another show, but I wanted padding that was explicitly specified when creating the recording to be "hard" padding that essentially becomes an part of the recording.

This came about when GB-PVR got me in dutch with the wife (again, for about the 100th time) when it failed to record the over-run of one of her awards shows even though I carefully specified 30 minutes of post-padding.

I'd just like to say that I would still really like the option of "forced" padding. I too have enough tuners to record all channels simultaneously, but NPVR will still change the highest priority tuner to a new recording and cut off an ongoing programme. The current news situation means that lots of programmes are running late.
