I have been running GBPVR on a couple of client machines for about a year. Today I decided to conform the two and up loaded the FFMpeg codecs and uninstalled the old CC??? codecs. The FFMpeg codecs are what I am using on the host and the other client.

Now I can not get MP4 files to play at all. They start and then stop immediately without showing any video or audio. My MP2 files have audio but no video.

I tried a complete uninstall then reinstall and I still have the same result.

Any help will be appreciated. Logs attached.

You may need to go into the ffmpeg settings and enable use from "pvrx2.exe", and/or enable MP4 and MPEG2.

Just wondering: ffmpeg = ffdshow in this case or am I mistaken?

Ah, right - I was reading it as talking about ffdshow, which is most likely what he meant anyway.

'Tis indeed ffshow and I could not find a setting but maybe I wasn't reading the instructions correctly.

At any rate it's fixed using the old wallet trick. I bought the CoreAC codec and it worked immediately with an interesting enhancement, the audio is much louder now.

Oh and I did fix the MPEG-2 by selecting that in the ffshow interface. I think I'll go back in and see if it works if I look for the MP4 option.

At any rate it's working again and I'm a happy camper again.

Thanks.
