My cable company is switching to all digital so I have to either setup an IR blaster with their stupid cable boxes or find another solution.

Has anyone found a good internet tv company that will completely replace standard cable/fios/dish? I was thinking some sort of internet tv company that uses set top boxes I could just feed into GBPVR.

I see the hulu, but don't see how it easily intigrates with GBPVR, and how it would stream to the MVP boxes.

i wish there was a decent IPTV provider that gave the standard cable/satellite channels at a reasonable price.. there's a few for ethnic programming but I haven't seen any for the regular stuff.

I dont know if we'll see this on a large scale in the short term future. Bandwidth is one thing, and then there's protection of content.. it seems that everyone wants to box you into their own 'screen' so they have the ability to push advertising to you , as well as trying to prevent you from recording.

I think the whole tv/movie model has to turn more to product placement (even in-show ads ? (gasp))

We use Miro to download video podcasts and enhance the package with a few torrents now and then. Seems to be all the tv we need. Only drawback is no live stuff like sports.
