This has been happening for quite a while - when I run pvxr2.exe command line to import an xml file of recordings I get this error over and over in the log file - it never manages to complete the import.

Quote:2010-01-06 18:59:43.167 ERROR [1] Failed to locate requested recording source: GraphRecorder.GraphRecorderConfig
2010-01-06 18:59:43.167 ERROR [1] Error int SourceConfigurationContainer::LoadAll(): System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

2010-01-06 18:59:43.167 ERROR [1] Error creating: GraphRecorder.GraphRecorderConfig
2010-01-06 18:59:43.167 ERROR [1] Value cannot be null.

pvxr2 and graph recorder play together fine in non-command line mode as it does with the config program. So I am not sure why a) its looking for the config and b) why it needs it and c) why it only crashes during the command line import but its fine otherwise

I have attached 2 logs - the first in normal operation and the second is with the command line crash.

Thanks,

I'm not really familiar with GraphRecorder plugin. Maybe its something to do with the current directory, and its not able to find it's config files or something.

As it happens I am familiar with graphRecorder since I wrote it - but I don't know why pvrx2 is looking for GraphRecorder.GraphRecorderConfig,. this is the instance of IRecordingSourceConfiguration in graphRecorder but has nothing to do with importing an XML file of recordings.

In addition, I can load the same XML file through the config.exe import with no issues and furthermore, as I mentioned graphRecorder plays well with pvxr2.exe as long as you don't call it using the command line: pvrx2 -import:xmlFile.xml

It is possible I missed something in the method of writing the plug-ins (I admit I hacked it together with rudimentary c# knowledge :0) yet it seemed to work fine with previous versions of gbpvr.

Another hint may be that with the command line this occurs on the log:

2010-01-06 22:46:17.035 INFO [1] loadOldStylePlugins()...
2010-01-06 22:46:17.128 ERROR [1] Error creating: GraphRecorder.GraphRecorderConfig

but just running pvxr2.exe there seems to be no call to loadOldStylePlugins()???

Ok, I'll look into this for 1.5.

You might be able to work around it by having your graphrecorder files in "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\plugins" (ie the way plugins were before subdirectories were added later)

I will give it a shot,

FYI that does the trick - I will just leave the extra copy there for now,
