It would be nice if there was a way that you could import shows that you have recorded from some other source into GBPVR's database. Maybe via plugin, or could I manually add them to the Database?

Mainly I have some episodes of Monarch of the Glen that I got from On-Demand and some I recorded weekly. I would like to add them to the database so I get better descriptions.... I moved them to the folder that GBPVR created for the weekly shows, and they show up there in the Videos plugin which is nice, but i want more!!!!

if you have access you could add them to the videos.mdb database used for the "my videos" but you have to be careful about null values, will cause it to crash (theres probably a switch you could use in the "design" view and change nullable to false, i didnt bother trying this since its all done via code). but this database only works in the "my videos" plugin.

You could also add them to the "video archive.mdb" database if you are using the Video Archive plug-in. I have a tool planned for the next release that will let enter the data for mpg files manually, but until it comes out you will have to edit the data in Access. The plug-in is tolerant (I think) of null values in most fields so as long as you enter the Title and Description it should work.

I'll check them both out, thanks. I might try and add them in manually into the gbpvr.mdb. There is plenty of room, since I deleted 828 manual entries.....
