NPVR: Custom Task

I really need to be able to launch an external prog from within NPVR (for Bluray playback by TMT3). In GBPVR this works very well using a custom task. Can the ability to do this be added to NPVR?

sub has said it's on the to-do list. A couple of the plugin gurus were thinking of writing a plugin to do it, but I gather they decided not to as sub said it will get added.

For now, I get around this by mapping an unused remote button with EventGhost. It just calls my external program (Hulu Desktop in my case) right over the top of NPVR.

Apologies for the wasted thread, didn't recall sub mentioning it on the to-do list. I have seen developers discuss it but nothing come of it. I'd not thought of mapping a remote button - that's a very good idea which I'll give a go.

That worked well. Using a hauppauge remote, so changing one of the buttons in irremote.ini to fire up TMT3 when in npvr worked fine. thanks for the suggestion!
