GBPVR and NPVR

I currently run 1.4.7 of GBPVR on an XP machine. If I install NPVR, will that install along side my current GBPVR setup, or try to replace it? My concern is that GBPVR is working great, and I dont want to disrupt that, but I would like to see whats in the new version...

NPVR is installed in its own folder structure, maintains its own database and config files and runs its own service. It's a totally different application. One thing to think about, however, is it will obviously be using the same tuners as your existing GBPVR setup so just make sure the two don't try to record stuff at the same time. I disabled 1 tuner in GBPVR and enabled it in NPVR when I had them running side by side just to make sure there was no conflict.

Excellent! That's what I was hoping for. I also have a dual tuner card, so i will set it up how you describe above before transitioning... Thanks!
