Unable to use LAV codecs

I have installed the LAV decoders, and selected them in the settings GUI. But when trying to Watch live TV I get "you havn't configured a H264 video decoder" and "you dont have a MPEG1 decoder selected".
Using for example MainConcept H264 video decoder, or Microsoft built-in decoders works just fine. It's only LAV that NPVR cannot use?

You usually can select and use these decoders in NextPVR, but they work badly for video (because they don't play nicely with the Microsoft MPEG-2 Demultiplexer), so we always tell people to choose another decoder. You can use them for audio however.

If you want to reproduce these messages, and post your logs, I'll see if any reason stands out.

If you are using Windows 7 then you should be able to us the Microsoft decoders for both Mpeg2 and H264. If you are running Windows 10 then one should be able to use the Microsoft decoder for H264 but you will need (purchase) the Microsoft DVD player app which some people have reported allows the use of Microsoft MPEG2 decoder.

Reinstalling the LAV decoders made them work ok, but I've switched to the Microsoft decoders. Thanks for your answer.
