How to open? use? NPVRTSReade4.ax

I see some are using NPVRTSReade4.ax and Microsoft Runtime file.
So I downloaded NPVRTSReade4.ax file. I assume it's an application but I can't open it.
When I try open it windows 10 ask what application I wanna use? even gave me VLC as a choice.
It must be an application where I put bad TS file and magic happens.

So what do I do after I downloaded NPVRTSReade4.ax in my computer?

NPVRTSReader4.ax is just one of the files that NextPVR uses for part of it's playback of .ts files. It's not an application - it's just one small component of NextPVR.

Occasionally I'll post updated files for people to try out when they're having problems, so that they can test a fix, before I include the fix in the next release. If you saw an NPVRTSReader4.ax being posted, that person would have be overwriting the existing file of the same name in the NextPVR folder, so that they could test that updated version and let me know if it helped with their problem or not.

K, I see NPVRTSReader4.ax in NPVR folder.
So I just replace existing NPVRTSReader4.ax with new NPVRTSReader4.ax ?

Yes. Usually you'd only do this if you had the problem being discussed where that updated NPVRTSReader4.ax was posted, otherwise just stick with the one included in the release.
