So what's id? Are these different channels?
Each scheduled recording has a unique id. I can see these two recordings had different ids, so were definitely two different scheduled recordings.

No, it's not. If you have an EPG that has unique show identifiers, it will stop you scheduling the show twice, but that wont be the case with your IPTV xmltv guide. So you could, for example, have picked up this show twice with one as a one-off recording and one as part of a season recording etc. Honestly, its not worth worrying about exactly how you made it happen - it'll probably the only time you ever see it happen.

ok, I must done it by accident somehow?
It happened few times already.

Only reason I was so interested was since my internet is only 8mbps, I try to record only one show at a time.
So IF I got multiple recordings at once then some show will not record correctly.

I agree, it's not the end of the world, Life moves on. LOL

I don't think that's right. I am using Schedules Direct EPG for UK OTA channels and have recorded a program twice (same time, same channel) on a couple of occasions. It saves both in the same folder and with the same name but appends a bracketed 1 to one of the filenames. On each occasion, I was adding recordings via the EPG and the program in question (a recurring recording) was not highlighted in red so I assumed it had got missed for some reason so set it to record. The next time I came across a program that I expected to be highlighted, I check in Pending Recordings and it was listed there and was successfully recorded, even though not highlighted in the EPG.

That's actually an interesting situation that I'm not sure the scheduler currently handles "properly." I don't recall the specifics of this situation and NPVR's handling of it ever being discussed, so sub will have to tell us for sure if my thinking here is right or wrong.

When doing an EPG update, the scheduler first removes ALL scheduled recurring recordings (but leaves any manually scheduled recordings). It then processes the recurring recordings one at a time doing the following:
  1. Check all of the EPG listings to see if there are any matching episodes
  2. If there are, check the "already recorded" list to see if the episode has already been recorded (but I don't think that this checks the manual recording list to see if the episode is already manually scheduled to record)
  3. If not, then pick the first instance (chronologically) and try to schedule that one to be recorded
  4. If there isn't a tuner available for that specific broadcast, then try to schedule the next broadcast (repeat until scheduled or all broadcast instances have been tried)

Now, say that an episode airs on Wednesday and then again on Friday. So leading up to Wednesday, each time the EPG update runs, it schedules the Wednesday broadcast to record (and doesn't mark the Friday one). Then the user goes into the guide and looks at Friday and sees the episode not scheduled (not red) and sets it to manually record. Which NPVR will allow because it doesn't show that specific broadcast as already scheduled to be recorded, and, for manual recordings, it doesn't check the "already recorded/scheduled" lists. Now, if for some reason the Wednesday broadcast doesn't actually record properly (the PC is off, no tuner is available, the drive is full, etc.), then during EPG updates between the Wednesday failure and the Friday broadcast (normally Wednesday night and Thursday night), that logic above would ignore the fact that the Friday broadcast was already manually scheduled and would try to create a scheduled instance of the recurring recording. (Which should always be successful as long as your tuners allow for multi-record.)
