Hello all!
I'm going to cut the cord from Spectrum by going to Fios (internet only) and setting up an IPTV streaming account.
We are NOT power users. The 1TB tivo has been fine for us.
I'm using my Apple TV 4k, an IPTV app and NextPVR app. The Apple TV will be attached to a secondary router to isolate VPN from our main router. (It's the only way to use VPN with Apple TV)
I have been searching ALL over to understand what kind of external drive to use in this set up. A friend said I do NOT need a NAS drive, which would be redundant with the apps.
So should I get a 2TB regular external drive and USB it to the secondary router? I assume an SSD is preferable, yes? Or do I need to do something else?
Many thanks in advance!
