I recently needed to rescan my tuners due to a change in BBC frequencies while doing that I noticed an update available v6.1.2.230521 so updated at the same time.
After doing this my PC would not sleep after finishing any recording, up till then it's been rock solid in this respect.
When trying to perform a restart to clear the issue I got the "NPVR Backend Status, NPVR is Currently Recording" even though the recording had finished both the desktop widget and the system tray status icon showed no recordings and the Tuner Status Page showed that none of the devices were recording.
I restored my PC from a full backup which contained v6.1.2.230502 which was working fine!
I rescanned my devices for new frequencies and tested the recording function again...
Exactly the same not sleeping problem, NVPR recording still in process!!
Even after a restart the same problem existed.
I restored my PC again from another earlier full backup which contained v6.1.1.221106 which was also working fine!
I rescanned my devices for new frequencies but this time I did not check the updated channels by looking at them using the Live TV function by clicking on the updated channel in the Channels Tab.
This time I am back to a perfectly recording sleeping PC.
Now I am really reluctant to update to either v6.1.2.230502 or v6.1.2.230521
But reading the forum this may be connected to the Forum thread "Computer Won't Sleep After Upgrade to v6" and "NPVR Service blocking Shutdown during Live TV or Recording"
I suspect that my problems started when playing live TV and this changed something that is left on the PC which causes the PC to think a tuner is still active even after it is finished!
It seem to me that this is probably what is happening to those people who can't get the PC to sleep after watching live TV.
Interesting that it stays this way even after a restart or Cold Boot.
I have attached two log files one from the 26th which was after the problems with v6.1.2.230502 the second is from the 28th which is after the success with v6.1.1.221106.
This never used to be a problem with version 5.
