Does anyone know a good command prompt Mpeg editor. If so, I will develop a program that will remove commericals from recorded program.

Haven't tried mpgcut yet, but I would like something that works with mpeg2 as well. I have something developed that takes the text file from comskip and the mpeg file that is created from gb-pvr and pass that through vdub (command prompt virtualdub) via avs script that is created from the program i wrote that takes the about comskip file. (wow did I just write a circualar paragraph here) From vdub it compresses the file into a xvid avi file. It does a really good job, but I would like something that doesn't pop-up like vdub does. (i.e. I want it all driven by command prompt) So, with that any suggestion on software, or if anyone knows how to identify frames in a mpeg file let me know. Thanks.

I had tried mpgtx, did not work with mpegs 2. The other I did not check. I was looking for a way to cut the commercials from comskip. But I never found a free one. I eventually bought videoredo. But let me know if you find a free one with a cli that works. Might be cool to make a plugin for it.
