Hi all,

I have been searching the forums for Always On Top feature in GBPVR - and according to an old post, the GBPVR icon has a context menu option which turns on this feature.

I right clicked on the GBPVR taskbar icon and found "Toggle Force to Foreground". However, I find that GBPVR still starts up behind some of my windows (eg windows explorer). Is this a manual feature?

Is there an automatic way of doing this - ie when GBPVR starts up, it is immediately/automatically always on top?

thanks,

BTW, finally got my gbpvr working fully with my MCE remote 2005 - Thanks to Artbatista and Technogeek for their helpful posts! (fyi, I settled on HIP and amazingly, it works quite well with the native driver!)

Sub has changed (some of?) the commandline switches, so I'm not sure this works, but you can try starting gbpvr with
Code:
gbpvr.exe -topmost
I'm not always right
GB-PVR 1.2.9
Accent HT-400 Case, AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 1024MB, 1TB+300GB+180GB, WinXP Pro-SP2, NVidia 7600GT
Nova-T USB2, PVR-350 recording from Dilog 355 DVB-T box, USB-UIRT (receiving & transmitting)

Murr, you would create a shortcut to GBPVR with (my, yours may be different) the path to GBPVR.exe, and then add -topmost to the end. Example:
"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVR.exe" -topmost, in the target section of the shortcut's properties.

Ah, I was putting it in the quotes. Regardless, it doesn't seem to be working. If I click on another window the remote stops working. Are there any other solutions to this?

The -topmost setting is working the way it is supposed to.

Having the window in the foreground is not the same as the window having focus. By default the hauppauge remote only works with the window that has focus.

Yes, I've seen some discussed in the past. I cant remember the exact details, but I'm sure you'll be able to find them using the forum search.
