What BIOS "wake-up" setting needs to be enabled to get the PC to wake up from hibernate for GBPVR recordings. I can't seem to get a consistent wakeup from hibernate (i.e. sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't).
Regards,
Hasso

Somehwre sub indictaed "will wake up if MB supports it", but I haven't seen the specifics of what the MB needs to support the wake-up. Any body know?

Hasso

I'm sure there is some ACPI standard or similar that your motherboard has to support.

Sorry, I cant give any more specific details. I never had to change any BIOS setting, but both of my machines can wake without any problems.

Both the Scheduled Task list and GB-PVR use the same ACPI calls to wake the machine. GB-PVR does not use the Scheduled Task list though, so there is no way for me to make these "visible".

Thanks for the effort. The MB does support ACPI, but I don't know what 'hooks' it needs to wake it up.

I have the nehemiah m10k, too, and I never had to change any settings to make it wake up after hibernation. In fact, it hasn't missed one single recording due to not waking up, until last night. A year and a half flawless (regarding that specific matter, that is ;-)), so I'll say it was just "one of those things".

Ooops... forgot to update my machine specs. Yes, I also never had any issues with the M10000 waking up from hibernate. But I needed more than the one PCI slot that the board offers, and also wanted something that was faster.

Ok, then I can't help you. Not that I could before, but now I certainly can't ;-)

Just an update. I gave up on the Soltek SL75KAV (KT133A VIA chipset) motherboard and replaced it with an Asus A7V600 (KT600 VIA chipset). Windows 2KSP4 booted up without problems and wakeup from hibernate worked first time (without any messing about). Both these motherboards inidcated they were ACPI compliant. So it seems that even though a motherboard may be ACPI compliant, it does not necessarily mean it is "wake-up" compliant. Just something to watch out for.

Hasso
