GBPVR - XP - Multiuser

I have Windows Xp setup with multiuser accounts! GBPVR was installed on one of them...therefore GBPVR doesn't work or start at all in the other account.

Probably because the recording service is not starting in the 2nd one. What can I do about it...to make sure I don't miss a recording simply because the system is log into the wrong account!

Also...am I correct when I say that GBPVR won't record is Windows is still on the user login welcome screen?

I dont explicitly test this, but I cant think of any reason it would work. What happens when you try to run c:\program files\devnz\gbvpvr\gbpvr.exe? There are no 'per-user' settings stored by GB-PVR.

No, you are wrong. It will record.

One thing to watch out for, is if you use a 3rd party channel changer (Like Girder) that starts in your startup group. It won't be running at bootup until you login to windows, and you end up recording the outdoor channel or something. (Hypothetically of course.......)

Nothing like looking for the last episode of Battlestar Galactica to make the season's DVD and getting hours of elk hunting...


I like it too, I think I watch 4x4tv on it. Something must be for the box to be left on that channel.
