Movies search in guide?

Does anyone knows if one can search for movie listing from the standard TV guide? Just like Tivo. You can show movie listings.

Is there a plugin for enhance search?

fastfind is probably your most helpful tool. You can also search by channel with the yellow key. You type in the shows name and it shows you all of the occurance of it

I believe this is to be a request to have broadcasted movies identified from the TV guide. I'd love to have that option too. Now I have to scroll through all my 300 satellite channels and look for possible candidates to record.

Yes, that is what I am looking for, a way to sort the information like movies, comedy, and so on.

I wrote a tool called zaptools that downloads all of that information from zap2it and stores it in a secondary db. Send a pm or post wishlist item for gude2j to add that functionality. It should be easy to do. Or at least ask him to update the source code to the latest (if it is not) and I will look into it.

Is there a guide on how to install and use the zaptools? I looked on the Wiki but all it states that the files should be placed in the GBPVR root. How do I actually use the zaptools, how do I configure it?

there is not a guide. You call zaptools <zaplogin> <zappassword> and it will populate the zapdb.mdb with all of the info. There is also a zap interface that plugins can use to get to this information.
