aaargh.. so i've been using -topmost to meet the wrong requirement
I thought it was designed for fullscreen display too...
(my story:I was using it to workaround a UI tweak that I had in place to stop apps from stealing focus away from others... unfortunately - this meant that GBPVR sometimes ended up hidden when it started up.. hence, my use of -topmost)
ok, maybe this is the difference - I will try without -topmost later..
