GBPVR won't start when skin other than "blue" used

Sorry, If this question has been before (it would seem there is some sort of easy solution I am just not seeing right now), but I searched through the forum and couldn't find it.

Anyway, on to the problem:

GBPVR works fine with the default skin "blue". I have installed several other skins by unzipping them and placing them in the skins folder along with "blue". They show up in config as available to use, but when I choose them and try to restart GBPVR the application won't start.

Its sound like whatever skin you're trying to use has not been updated for compatibility with GB-PVR v0.93 yet.

I'm having the same problem. I'm a newbie and just installed .94.8. So far it's working great, except for this issue with other skins. How can I update another skin to be compatible with .93 and above? It may be simple and this a dumb question but I am totally new to GB-PVR. Thanks much.

you can usually find what went wrong in the gbpvr.exe.log file (found in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\), and then just edit the skin.xml files in the skin you want to use, to work with the new version.

pretty much the only things that would cause gbpvr not to load are the core plugins skins being out of date. so video library, music library, net radio, fm radio, guide, recordings, search, errr i think thats it...

i would suggest first taking a look at the net radio, i think that was updated in the last release.

Thanks reven. I'll take a look at the logs. I do have a non default install directory. The program itself is in d:\program files\devnz\gbpvr. Do you think I may cause other issues by not installing into C drive? (I have more space on D) GB-PVR itself won't even start with any skin other than the default Blue. It just does nothing when started, no startup screen at all. Thanks.
