I would like to see IPTV features put into GBpvr. Just being able to watch internet shows would be great.

Has anyone looked into this? Maybe some plug-in that allows us to auto-download content and inventory it into the GBPVR DB for future watching? I haven't checked either of these out but I think fireant.tv and getdemocracy.com offer similar services.

Correct Lonegeek.... I read through this thread and D/L'd the app. It seems this is more for watching "live" streams. I'm looking to grab things like hak.5 (http://www.hak5.org) or any of the Kevin Rose shows he does on revision3.com, etc. More like VLogs (I think that's what you call em these days) or Vidcasts as lonegeek called em. This way GBPVR would download them in the background and I could watch them on my boob-toob whenever they were ready.
thanks all.

hmmmm.....well im sure you could use rss reader as a base... Since vidcast use rss feeds... Maybe some sort of itegration with utorrent....since utorrent uses less than 2mb of ram and supports rss feeds...
You could do this... Utorrent....add proper rss feeds and define what you want to download... Set it to your recordings folder...Use Videos , video library, or my videos etc.. to watch it... I did this with a British tv show... using a rss feed from eztv on efnet.. Only problem..is i dont know how you would add it to gbpvr database... I thought only mpegs could be added to the database... You would just need a simple script that would scan a folder every X number of time and then add it to the database.... I supose if UPnP/AV Client support was added to GBPVR you could use any content that TVersity has in their guide and any you might add to it, and TVersity can transcode it to what you need. although most transcoding would only be needed for MVP use as the PC should aready have to codecs to display localy.
Plus you'd have many new features in each update they have.

LoneG, I think your idea may work just fine (for me at least). If I set the RSS output to the video library folder I can just browse that folder within GBPVR, I'm not so hung up on having any back end details (date time file names, etc) I was really just looking for some way to automate it all. I totally forgot about being able to browse the video library folder and watch stuff from there. Now I just have to look at all the various auto/downloaders and pick one.
