I love gb pvr but having problems.

1. When setting a recording for season this time slot, daily. It will record will still record the show at other times. A perfect example it the daily show GBPVR is set to record it at 11:00 daily but it also records the 1am repeat as well. It this just a function of how the program defines time slots or do i have something odd going on? Oh yes and avoid duplicates it turned on.

2. occasionally when starting the config utility it will loose all my program guide data and cause me to have to re-setup the tuners an re-occuring recordings

(hauppuage 500 w/ zap2it guide if that makes a difference)

Any thoughts?

This is normal. A timeslot recording will pick up anything with the same name +/- 120 minutes of the original start time. This is to allow for slight variances in the schedule. You can make this timeslot variance as small as you want by teaking the <AllowableTimeslotVariance> setting in config.xml

There is a known bug in this release that can cause the gbpvr.mdb to be renamed old.mdb. The problem occurs if it fails to compact the database. This is fixed in the next release.

old.mdb is just gbpvr.mdb renamed immediately prior to trying to compact the database, so nothing is actually lost. Just rename it back.
