Help - 350 and Sky digital.

Sorry if this is a long post - but here goes.

Just got my new PVR350, and installed it. It's receiving all my terrestrial channels through the antenna (bbc1-ch5) and it's also getting sky digital on channel 68 via antenna. Whilst the standard channels are okay, I can't get GBPVR to work with my sky system.

I've removed all the capture sources that are related to the standard channels, and setup a capture source for sky digital, using an external tuner, fixed channel (68), and an IR blaster (IR220L+). When I try to watch sky, I get no picture, but the recording service starts recording to the HDD (live - although it seems to be recording channel 4 for some reason). I'm not sure what to set the device profile for my sky box should be, but I've tried all three.

It looks like the IR blaster might be trying to transmit a signal, but it's not changing the sky channel.

Any help, or pointers to set-up guides for sky in the UK would be most appreciated.

Did you learn a new device profile for your Sky remote? You need to do this or GB-PVR wont know the signals that are required by you sky box.

I've just tried that, but it won't learn from my remote. However I think I've bought the wrong IRBlaster. Mine's an IR 220L plus, which appears to be an IrDa device.

I had a really good look for either the ir200l, or the usb-uirt, neither of which seem to be avaliable in the UK. Any ideas if this is causing the problem (not learning), and if so any ideas where I might find a compatible device?

Is there anybody reading the forums that's got channel changing to work with a sky digital box, and if so what's your setup?

Yes, I think you're right. Only the IR200L will work. The IR220L is an IrDa device and not capable of producing the types of signals required to send the change channels commands via IR.

http://www.usbuirt.com has reasonable shipping terms to the UK. Alternatively, some users are using the redrat which is available in the UK, but I have used it myself so cant vouch for it.

Okay :-) just got my USB-UIRT, many thanks to Darren who let me pick it up personally from his office.

And I've sucessfully learnt the new codes for my UK Sky Digibox, which have been submitted to the support e-mail address.

If anybody is desperate for these codes, then drop me a mail, and I'll forward them on.
