Using GBPVR with a Haup 150. Finally got dualview set-up with my vid card, and I have the nVidia preferences set to launch GBPVR only on my 2nd monitor (TV). Everything looks good, only problem is that when I do something on the computer (surf the net, open a folder, etc.) the remote no longer has control over the TV and GBPVR. To remedy, I have to hit menu, and on my monitor I can see the application selection box popup (what you see when you hit alt-tab), then I have to select GBPVR with the remote and I'll be able to control GBPVR again. But only until someone does something on the computer.
Any ideas for an easy fix?

On a separate note, when GBPVR launches on my TV, it leaves a little white bar at the top of the screen. I've heard a lot about overscan and things of this nature, but have no idea where to look for an adjustment.

As always, Thanks for all the help!

Let GBPVR control the hauppauge IR receiver instead of using IRRemote (setting in config.exe)

No, that only works with a PVR250/350, not with a PVR150.

I stand corrected. Get a USBUIRT then. Works like a charm since 94.13 - focus or not

Unless it randomly quits responding, making it such that you record the wrong channel. There seems to be a few of us with this problem, even when just using the USBUIRT as a blaster to change channels. :mad:

I like using the remote to navigate around other programs as well, so basically I have set the green power button on the hauppauge remote to activate GB-PVR. As sub has made it that you can't have more than one instance of the program, if GB-PVR isn't running, the power button will start it, and if it has lost focus, the power button will return it.

ie. in Irremote.ini (located in your windows directory), find the line: "; close current active window; disabled for now", put a semicolon before the GRNPOWER line if it is there (ie. ";GRNPOWER={sys(0xF060)}") then add the line:

GRNPOWER={run(c:\Progra~1\devnz\GBPVR\GBPVR.exe)}{sleep(750)}{FindWnd(GBPVRWndClass,)}{fgnwn d()}

Making sure of course that you use the correct path to your GB-PVR install.

I have made a couple of other changes in Irremote.ini as well - assigning aspect ratio to a remote button, deleting the GB-PVR volume settings so the remote controls system volume, entering controls for other apps etc - it's all relatively straight forward.

Some people want to control only GB-PVR with the remote, no matter what application is currently active, and onestar wrote some instructions on how to do this if you are interested (here it is, or search under "Remote Only when GBPVR has Focus?")

cheers,

Thanks for the help!
Looks like the ini file onestar posted in the other thread should be good.
